Yesterday was our friend Alisha’s birthday party, so we went up to her house to hang out with her and a bunch of other people who came. It was fun! We both enjoyed ourselves; we knew enough of the people that we were able to circulate through the different crowds without finding ourselves stuck in a corner talking only to each other. I had a bad day today. I was grumpy and complaining about everything. I had a horrific headache, but since I missed most of the day yesterday I didn’t want to go home early. I felt like it was so loud – even with my headphones on. Finally I caved and took some Excedrin and my headache went away. I’m glad about that, but I hate that it’s the third day in a row I’ve popped the pillz. Anyways. Y’all…

So with the price of oil going up, our gas bill has gone up, too. Around Christmas, we decided to turn off our heater and see how long we could last in our apartment without heat. We have been wearing two of everything on average, and sometimes even three sweaters. Whenever anyone else cooks in my kitchen, they get very confused trying to find things. This is mainly the reason why: Yes, I keep my flour, sugar, corn meal, grits, etc. in the freezer.
