This past Tuesday, Paul and I celebrated 11 years since we started dating! (We’ve been married 6.5 years.) For Valentine’s Day, I made him a collage of some of the pictures of us throughout the years. It was a fun walk through memory lane as I went through pictures of us to find the ones I wanted to include in the collage. We’ve really done a lot of fun things together. Paul is never, ever sick. Before this week, he called into work sick only twice during his almost 5 years at CNN. This past Monday, he called me in the afternoon saying he felt sick. I offered to pick him up, and he immediately accepted which surprised me. He was really feverish, so I put him to bed and got him Gatorade and chicken soup. Tuesday he called in sick. Happy birthday to my dear Paul!! I don’t have much time to write, but I did want to pop in and wish him a happy birthday. We have a fun day planned of Mexican food, pizza, and a game night with friends from church. :-)
Today when I was at the grocery store, I picked up these: Hopefully Paul doesn’t see this until he gets home from work. :-) Paul proposed to me by putting a ring in a tulip, so I thought it was an appropriate flower for Valentine’s Day! I chose purple because it’s my favorite color, hehe. I was going to make some red velvet cake for dessert, but I decided it probably wasn’t a good idea to have a whole cake…
I can’t believe it’s only been 4 years since I walked down the aisle to meet my beloved at the altar! It seems much longer, but in a good way. :-) I have loved being married to you, Paul! (I had planned to write more, but our wireless router is about dead in the water… I have spent a very frustrating morning trying to get websites to load!)
