When I told Paul that I was going to write this post, he laughed at me and said, “You’re such a Southerner.” The truth is, I haven’t been anywhere colder than Atlanta since Christmas 2004. And I think I’ve forgotten how cold up north can get. I don’t know why we decided to visit New England in January except that we were thinking it would give Paul’s parents a chance to have Christmas with Savannah before it got too far…
So finally last week I went to the doctor for Savannah’s 2 month appointment. I know, I know, she’s over 3 months already. We had some issues with the insurance, as in we misunderstood what we needed to do to get her on our policy, but it’s all good now. I had to go down to the Vital Records office in Atlanta and pick up her birth certificate. I noticed that they have the wrong city of birth on it….
You know you’re a mom when… …you write about diapers on your blog. :-) So on Savannah’s two month birthday, I decided to make the switch to cloth diapers. I always intended on doing cloth, but with the house and the move and then the trip to Indiana I decided it was better to stay with disposables for the time being. I’m glad I did, too – it would have been so tough because I only spent a few hours…
Well this birth was TOTALLY not what I expected at all! We are usually pretty busy in the summers. We pack our weekends with camping and traveling, usually to weddings and/or reunions.
