I feel like I need to write about the rain we’ve had. Oh, we’ve had rain!! Tons and tons of it. I am trying to remember when the rain started… but it has been raining every day for at least a week, and very often it is heavy rain and storms. Life is busy. That’s it in a nutshell. Savannah is doing well and seems surprisingly adaptable to our crazy schedule. She sleeps anywhere, especially the car. (She’s like her daddy!) I spend my mornings at our apartment, and then after lunch usually head to the house and work until 8 or 9pm when we come back to our apartment. The house is coming… We are trying to get the painting done, and it’s been raining a ton here which makes…

Savannah was two weeks old yesterday. She’s doing great. I’m sure she’s growing a lot (though I don’t necessarily notice it). She’s awake and alert for longer portions of the day. I love the chance to look in her eyes – I’m pretty sure they’re grey right now, though we’ll see if they stay that color. Her hair is plentiful on her little head, and dark brown just like her daddy’s. I’m curious if she’s going to keep that hair…
So I guess since it’s after midnight, Savannah is 7 days old! Wow. Everything still seems so new. People ask me things like “What does she usually do…?” And I’m like, “I’m still trying to figure it out myself!” She’s a great sleeper. I’m grateful for that! She also isn’t very fussy; almost always she fusses for a reason (diaper change, hungry). She got her first sponge bath today! She did really well and now she looks so pretty. She…
