frankly, my dear…
I watched the American Film Institute’s 100 Years…100 Movie Quotes last night, and really enjoyed it. I especially liked that the #1 movie quote was my favorite line from a movie based on one of my favorite books that takes place in my favorite city. :-) I definitely enjoyed the other quotes that I’m familiar with (“Houston, we have a problem” and “I’ll get you my pretty, and your little dog too”), and some that I knew of but never had actually seen the movie (“Go ahead, make my day” and “You ain’t heard nothin’ yet”). The only one I think they missed is the quote from “It’s a Wonderful Life” – “What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word, and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down.” I also feel that there were a few quotes from Princess Bride that they could have had as well…
I’ve been having fun crosstitching lately, while I watch TV. I’m working on something for a friend, so I’m trying to get it done soon. It’s about halfway finished now! I’m excited, it’s turning out really well. I really enjoy crosstitching; I always have. When I was little I made this little thing that said, “Love Me, Love My Cat.” I thought that was the silliest thing. I wanted to change it to “Love me, I love my cat.” Now that I’m older I can understand what it means, and it is rather true for me. :-p
