happy sunday
Despite my lack of sleep, I had a very good day today. I went to church in the morning, then had lunch with my family and then my sister and I watched all the TV shows I missed this past week. Then Melissa called and I had an absolutely wonderful conversation with her, that was probably one of the highlights of my day. I really miss her, and she was so excited and – can i say it? – passionate about where her life is heading right now. It was unusual for her, but nice for me to witness it! She’s applying at Wycliffe which of course makes me happy because that is something near and dear to my heart. It’s just neat to see how God is moving in her, and I really am praying that this works out and God continues to guide her in His direction. It was fun to hear a story about how a good friend of Melissa’s from home (in Pennsylvania) went to the same camp as my sister this past summer – oh it’s a small world.
Later that night, my former roommate Sara called me to tell me two very good things: 1) she was accepted to medical school and 2) that she is engaged! After living with her for four months and having long in-depth conversations about marriage and relationships, I am soooo happy for her and I know that she’s going to be so happy. :-) And I can’t wait to see her in 2 weeks when she and my other two former roommates come down to visit for spring break!
Then I got to talk to Paul for a long time, which isn’t unsual but it was nice just the same. Now I am blogging a little bit before I go to bed. I think I might also surf around on ebay to find some old books I’ve been wanting to buy.
