exciting happenings

The title to this post is misleading. Nothing exciting is going on here. :-) I have so much I need to do, but honestly, not much motivation!

I went to CPP (where I worked this summer) today to say hi and pick up things for my portfolio. I think they’re going to let me print off a few of the pieces, which makes me happy (that I don’t have to pay Kinko’s to do it). I’m going to get real professional-looking business cards printed. There, that’s something I’ve done! Designed my own business card. :-) I also did something that’s quite exciting, and that is register for my own domain. So now, you can go to:
http://www.ashleydesign.org
Right now, it’s just my old out-of-date website that I desperately need to redo if I’m going to impress people with my awesome graphic design abilities. I also have a blog:
http://blog.ashleydesign.org
And that would be the same blog I have now, just a different address. You can still get to it from the old address… they go to the same place, if that makes sense. :-) Paul has a subdomain on my domain too:
http://paul.ashleydesign.org
He’s still working on his website – right now, all it has is his resumé. This is all so very exciting!

Note to self: work on website

Today I decided is one of those days where I’m so happy to be alive. I love the sun and the warmth and just walking under the trees… I’m not trying to rub it in, really, but I can’t lie because it is gorgeous. I think that my favorite month in Orlando is January. :-) I like how I say that because I’ve never been here any month other than June, July, or August. But I think if all Januaries are like this one, then it’s definitely my favorite month.

Of course I haven’t forgotten Indiana. I’ve been trying to figure out what’s been happening, to the best of my abilities, but frequenting the Indy Star’s website, as well as the Muncie and Marion newspapers (I think Muncie needs to hire a web designer for theirs *shudder*). I haven’t been able to find ANY information from any of the national sources – it’s like to the rest of the U.S., the Midwest is invisible. However, I’m glad to hear that Taylor has gotten power back.

Well that’s all for now. I’m sure there is more to say but I’m distracted by the never-ending train of thoughts in my head!
