Paul and I are excited to announce that Savannah River was born yesterday August 22 at 1:32pm. She weighed 7 pounds even and was 19 inches long. She is happy and healthy and doing great.   3. So. . . did you shower and put on make-up post-birth? My mom and I think you look way too good to have just had a baby! So excited for you! My mom just meanly pointed out that *she* gets to go visit y’all when she gets back to Atlanta. Hmmph.

  12. Ashley does look fabulous! I told her how next time, I plan to style my hair, wash my face and put on a bit of makeup before I let anyone take too many pictures of me. I dunno if she did that or not — but she certainly has that unmedicated mama glow!

  13. Congrats – she’s beautiful! Were you early? Gwen was only a week early, and she was 5/6. Make sure you keep that Soothie pacifier – those were the only ones Gwen liked; we know have about six of ’em floating around. :) I’m so happy for you!

    Savannah came a week early. It turns out she wasn’t as small as we originally thought. When they reviewed her weight taken throughout our time in the hospital, they decided that initial weight (5lbs/11oz) was incorrect and that her actual birth weight was 7 lbs. I thought 5 lbs seemed smaller than she looked… I’m updating the post now. :-)
