I am holding in my hand right now a ticket for the Broadway musical The Phantom of the Opera, which is playing right now at The Fox Theatre here in Atlanta. I cannot express how thrilled I am that I’m actually going! For those who aren’t familiar with Atlanta, the Fox is a magnificent theater with an elaborate interior. My favorite is the roof inside the theater; it’s dark blue with tiny lights that look realistically like stars.

So the Fox is amazing, and also is Phantom of the Opera. It’s by far my favorite musical. It always gives me a thrill when the Phantom is calling Christine through the mirror and the music bursts into the Phantom of the Opera themesong! Whoo, goosebumps… and sitting in a theater just breathing in the music from a live orchestra… can there be anything better?

Oh, and top the evening off… We’re going to be dressing up in formal gowns, which I’m very excited about. I love dressing up and without formal pick-a-dates anymore, I don’t have many chances. So how should I do my hair? Bethany, want to come help? ;-)
