first post of 2005
Ah, 2005.
The new year has begun, and things are looking positive! I can’t list them all yet because I don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch, but I’m very excited about possibilities.
My dad’s surgery went well, and he’s recovering. Thanks to all who asked.
I recently finished Anne of Green Gables, by L.M. Montgomery, which is my all-time favorite book. This time I read it with highlighter in hand, marking my favorite passages. I’m especially partial to her comments about red hair – “it is my eternal sorrow”. And her use of the word “tragical”. :-) Anne reminds me a lot of myself when I was younger.
This week I need to finish my portfolio. And look for jobs. :-)
Ah, I had so much to say when I sat down to write this post, but it’s all gone away now. Oh right, my sister’s moth hatched or whatever you call it… the kitties like it, but they can’t get to it.
I miss everyone at Taylor. Remind me to complain about all the various instant messaging programs I have been experimenting with. Stupid AIM. That shows spaces instead of letters when the other person has a font it doesn’t like.
Happy birthday, Joanna! (a day late) :-)
