flying squirrel
If you happened to look behind the DC, towards Taylor Lake this morning around 10:00, you would have seen me flying through the air.
I did the scariest thing for someone who’s afraid of heights. And lived to tell about it! I’m in the ropes course class, and one of the challenges is a long metal cable attached to two poles, and you are hooked onto a pulley that runs along the top of the cable. You climb up 40 feet into the air, take a deep breath, and jump… and go hurtling towards the ground, until gravity (and the cable) slows you down.
It was all over fast, but I was terrified. I kept my eyes closed the whole time. But I did it! I lived to tell about it. I’m so proud of myself. I wish I had someone else around to hug because I’m excited, but I’ll console myself with writing it in my blog for now.
Another good thing happened last night too. Paul called me. It’s the first time in 8 weeks that I’ve heard his voice. It was very good; I miss him so much. I hope that things can start looking more up in our relationship. I can’t wait till we can start calling each other regularly again… It will be very nice!
Oh here is a picture of a flying squirrel, so you can know what I looked like:
