Sunday Ponderings: missions

Sunday Ponderings: missions

I actually HAVE been going to church, despite my lack of posting Sunday Ponderings here. Last weekend we had our annual missions weekend. I have been to many, many missions weekends at different churches and this was very different. The whole weekend was very much focusing on church-sponsored missions trips to specific churches. They didn’t even really talk much about what God was DOING at those churches. There wasn’t much focus on the missionaries, which I guess is okay just…

sunday ponderings: fighting for simplicity

sunday ponderings: fighting for simplicity

Today’s sermon was really, really good. Our pastor is doing a series called “The Fight” – about time management in our busy schedules of today. It doesn’t really fit us anymore, but I…

He said a few things that stuck with me. One was, “You can always go deeper in the Bible. You can always go deeper with your relationship with God.” You…
