changing a diaper is hard work

changing a diaper is hard work

Phew! I’m exhausted!!

Today was the Great Cloth Diaper Change. It was fun and crazy, and I’m so tired! It was at one of those inflatable jumping places, which Savannah enjoyed a little bit (though she was technically too little to do it). A lot of my fellow cloth-diapering friends here in Atlanta were there, and we had a lot of fun.

Our church had a picnic at the same time. I was trying to explain to the pastor’s wife about why we wouldn’t be at the picnic, and I told her that cloth diapers were one of my passions. She seemed very confused by that. :-) “But, why?” I know, I’m the crazy girl who washes her baby’s diapers!

We did end up making it to part of the church picnic, but it was well past Savannah’s naptime and she was so tired. So we came home and relaxed, and now we’re winding down our Saturday evening. Tomorrow is Easter Sunday! I bought food to throw in the crock pot while we’re at church, so we’ll have a nice Easter lunch waiting for us when we get home. :-) Yay for me!

Side note, I noticed that our next door neighbors have moved out and their house is now for sale. We think they were either renters or were foreclosed on, because the yard is in terrible shape. (And in this market, you by golly mow your yard if you’re trying to sell your house!) Not so good for our property value, but I’m anxious to see who moves in! Hopefully someone nice. :-)

  1. I wanted to go to a Cloth Diaper Change event, but the inly one in central Indiana was in Bloomington, which was further than I wanted to drive. The local cloth diaper shop was at a city-wide Earth Day event- they probably would have hosted one otherwise. Sounds like it was fun!
