Christmas tour of homes

Christmas tour of homes

I’m a little late this year. It’s been a crazy week, but thank God it’s over! Now on to more exciting things, like taking pictures of my Christmas decorations! This is my 4th Christmas in Atlanta, and the 4th apartment I’ve decorated (2005, 2006, and 2007). It’s kinda fun to see how the decorations have worked in each place I’ve lived. :-) So I hope you enjoy this little tour of my newest apartment, and be sure to head on over to BooMama’s place for the rest of the tour!

Wreath
Welcome to our home! We have this lovely wreath on our front door to invite you in.

Christmas Tree
I love our Christmas tree! It’s a Frasier fir from North Carolina. Our collection of ornaments has been slowly but surely growing! I’m still looking for a special 2008 ornament, but I’m enjoying remembering all the ones we got the past few years.

Stockings
We hung our stockings above the couch this year. I usually have put them under the breakfast bar, but they didn’t fit there in our new apartment. So, I made my own “mantle” with extra beaded garlands and I think the effect is quite nice! My brothers-in-law make fun of the stockings for the kitties.

Nativity scene
The nativity scene, being displayed prominently on the breakfast bar. I like it here, in the center of everything.

Jesse Tree
Our Jesse Tree.

birthday tree
My birthday tree. My grandmother gave this to me years and years ago, so that I wouldn’t feel left out at Christmas. (My birthday is December 26th.) It’s on the coffee table now.

Poinsetta
A fake poinsettia (real ones are bad for kitties) and a bit of decoration. This strip of cloth has hung over the narrow windows we had in our last two apartments, but in this apartment I draped it over the side of a bookcase. I like the effect!

Porch
You can see the Christmas tree from outside. Also, I decorated the porch with red lights, a garland, and white icicle lights.

And last but not least, the kitties have special holiday costumes to share with you!
Ebony the Reindeer

Lewis
They were thrilled to be wearing their new headware and getting pictures taken. Can’t you tell??

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed the little tour, and I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!
