This week has been stressful, again, but not work related this time.
Tuesday – Had special choir practice from 7-9. Came home from work with a horrible headache, took a nap from 5-6:30, woke up feeling like crap and didn’t really feel like “myself” until about 8pm.
Today – Felt soooo tired all day; I guess it’s from staying up till 1:30 last night. Went to a thing after work and got home at 7pm. Spent some time brainstorming about what to do about our carpets. More on that later.
Tomorrow – After work I am going to the dentist to get a wisdom tooth removed. I’m REALLY nervous and worried. :-( Have another choir practice 7-10pm. Not sure how up for it I’ll be, but I feel that I should be there because I don’t know the music very well still.
Friday – Have to work a full day; I’m praying that I’ll feel up to it and not sick from the wisdom tooth extraction. Pick up my car hopefully; she might be ready tomorrow but I’ll tell myself Friday so I’m not disappointed. Going to dinner at some friends’ house; I’m looking forward to that!
Saturday – Skipping Saturday evening church service to go to a party. Don’t tell my choir director. :-)
Sunday – Singing in both services Sunday morning. Then we have Sunday afternoon and evening to clean up the apartment and act on our carpet plan.
Monday – AJ & Molly are coming to stay for the night (yay for that!). Since AJ’s birthday is the next day, I want to have a cake for him. Make sure that the entire apartment is cleared of peppers, since Molly is extremely allergic. Go grocery shopping! :-)
About the carpets: The humidity has brought out some not-very-nice smells in our carpet. Namely, the entire apartment reeks of cat urine. (Cat urine is one of those things that really permeates.) I am not sure what to do about it except to rent a carpet cleaner and go over the carpets thoroughly on Sunday. That has its advantages in that since Molly is somewhat allergic to cats, it will help her when she stays overnight here. The disadvantages: I am not sure if the carpet cleaner will be able to fit through the doorway of our bathroom, which is where the smell is the strongest. Also, neither of our cars are big enough to fit it. Perhaps someone will let us borrow their van or truck? Note to self: ask around.
On a personal note (sorry to my male readers, if there are any), I am also expecting my period to start this weekend. I haven’t had a period since May, and this will be the first one since I was pregnant. There is nothing like a post-miscarriage period to remind you that you’re not pregnant. :-( I’m already feeling depressed, and usually my periods completely wipe me out physically and emotionally. I’m worried about being able to cope with my busy weekend on top of PMS and depression. So please pray for me. :-(
