First of all, congrats to my brother! :-) I’ve been wondering when this was going to happen. ;-) I have been doing some research about my spam and guess what! I found out it’s not spam at all, but trackbacks. That explains how they’re getting to old posts. Apparently the best way to combat this to install a thing called Bad Behavior, which blocks spammers from even accessing my site. My only concern is that it’s going to block legitimate…

Today, as most of you know, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Here in Atlanta, it’s a big deal (although both Paul and I are working today *sigh*). I turned off Akismet (my spam filter) again, and this morning had a million spam comments waiting for moderation. Hmm… Anyone have ideas as to how they are able to bypass this? So I’ve been having trouble with spam comments. I downloaded and used Aksimet, which was really good, but it blocked a few okay comments too. I was getting complaints from people whose comments were going straight to the spam filter and never seeing the light of day on my blog.
