diffuse glow
So I decided to get a new profile picture today for my blogger and xanga accounts. I was bored of just putting a picture up, so I decided to have some fun in Photoshop. I discovered a setting called “Diffuse Glow” and played around with it. The effect is pretty cool, in my opinion. I look literally like I have porcelein skin. :-) It reminds me of a CD cover. Perhaps we should start a band? Hehe :-)
Today was a fun day. Bethany came over for the day to play with hair. She’s going to do my hair for the wedding, so we had a practice run. I really like what we ended up with. I hope it looks this good for the wedding. :-) We took pictures, but I don’t want to post them. You’ll just have to wait to see the real thing. :-) Bethany ended up staying for dinner. We had hamburgers. I was really excited that I’ve figured out how to cook another meal somewhat smoothly enough that I can serve it to guests. And I love hamburgers. Mmm. :-) After dinner, we pulled out the cards and played hearts with a dummy hand (since there were only three of us), which was fun yet different. I haven’t played hearts in forever! I miss college sometimes. I miss Gerig Lounge. *nostalgic sigh*
I got to see my mom last Thursday; I think I forgot to mention that. It was fun. I did something impulsive – my mom had a 5 hour layover in Atlanta on her way to Spain, and I decided during lunch that I wanted to see her. I asked my boss if I could have the afternoon off, and she said yes, so I hopped in the car and drove down to the airport! My mom was really pleased I think. It was good to see her! I will see her next Saturday too, when she flies back from Spain. My mom, the world traveler.
I also went to the dermatologist again and got 20 more shots in my face. I think the stress from the wedding is making me break out badly, and so I am trying to do all the short-term solutions I can think of to clear my face before the wedding. I don’t want to have to cake the makeup on. :-( I have another appointment to go back a couple of days before my wedding to get another shot which is supposed to help with the redness. I don’t like getting all these shots… Ah, the price of beauty. Or the price of trying not to look 15.
Well I should go work on some thank-you notes before heading home for the night. *yawn* Or maybe I’ll just go home… I’m kinda sleepy… and it is quarter after one…
