i'm going to complain so don't read this if you don't want to hear it

I’m feeling lots of things right now. It could be because of all the jewelry ads that are on TV and radio right now. Or because of the stupid David’s Bridal banners that are all over the Internet. Or because I recently got an email from Bed, Bath, and Beyond telling me that with my wedding fast approaching, I need to recheck my registry and make sure everything is still available and that I haven’t forgotten anything. Mostly, it’s because of Valentine’s Day.

Enough of that. I will save my anti-Valentine’s post for Monday.

I don’t have to work tomorrow, that’s good. And they want me to come in all next week, which is good too. When they found out I know InDesign they decided to have me help them with another project. The company where I’m working is a publishing company for textbooks. The past three days I’ve been doing monotonous work with pdfs for the 6th and 7th grade Social Studies textbooks. I’ve enjoyed it – even if it is monotonous. Next week I’ll be working on a different set of textbooks. I don’t know what yet, but I’m sure I’ll know on Monday.

I’ve been working swing shift – 3pm till midnight. I think I like it. I’m such a night owl, I really think better at night and I feel like I am much more focused than when I’m trying to think in the mornings. Also, there isn’t much reason for me to be home except for my cats. Of course, it would suck if you were married and had kids but seeing as that doesn’t apply to me, I think swing shift is ideal.

I see myself burying myself into my work once I get a real job.
