Days of wine and roses
I’m sitting here at work… It’s very slow today, and has been… One of our designers is on vacation and we still don’t have anything to do. So I’m blogging. But there isn’t much to say. Did anyone watch AFI’s 100 Years… 100 Songs show on TV a few weeks ago? I taped it and watched it over a period of three days, finishing the last hour last Tuesday. I enjoyed it thoroughly. One of the songs on the countdown was called “Days of Wine and Roses” from the movie of the same name. I don’t know anything about the movie, but I think it’s a fascinating title.
Paul got here on Tuesday. He’s been job searching while I’ve been at work. He’s made some connections, and visited companies. I made little business cards for him with his new cell phone number on them. It was fun to design something, and I think they turned out pretty good. Our next task is a website to display his resume. I have some ideas… nothing fancy, but visually pleasing. In the evenings, we’ve had fun doing other things. We went to Sears and Linens N Things and looked at their registry stuff. It was exciting… Last night a friend from Peru came over and we played Jabberwocky. The four of us (including my brother) had a good time. I’m looking forward to the weekend because I don’t have to work. I kind of feel like i haven’t spent good time with Paul since I’ve worked every day he’s been here.
That’s all that’s been going on… Hooray for Friday, and for having three days off before working again. And hooray for spending time with Paul. :-) Hope everyone else has a good 4th.
