I asked Paul to write a birthday message for me to post on my blog today. Here is what he sent me:
I was asked to write a post for Ashley’s birthday since she felt weird talking about her own special day…
This I have to say is definitely a special day to me — the day that everyone returns the stuff that they get! No that’s not why I think its special…its cuz it’s Ashley’s birthday. I tend to make such a fuss because I think (as all of you with late December birthdays will agree) that birthday’s around holidays can become lost in the shuffle of parties and visiting relatives. And you end up with a birthday/Christmas card and present….or worst everyone forgets it is your birthday altogether. This is why I like remembering and making a big deal…So everyone reading this make it a point to wish her a happy birthday, I know it will mean alot to her. Meeting Ashley has been such a good influence in my life. A very fun person to be around with and really cares about people. She has encouraged me in my hard times and been there smiling in happier times. She has done her share of challenging me when she sees something not right in my life. And I have seen her struggle and grow in the Lord. I am proud to know and love her. Ashley, I hope you have a great and wonderful birthday today! May God bless you this year beyond your imagination as you follow His voice. I love you so much.
