Savannah adores her little sister. A few days ago, we were at Ikea and Savannah went to Smaland for 45 minutes. When we picked her up, she sought out Elizabeth.
Savannah: “How’s my little Elizabeth? How’s my girl? Did you miss me? I missed you. I was thinking about you!”
Savannah takes the ponytail holder out of my hair, and watches it fall to my shoulders.
“Wow! So pretty! You’re an angel, Mommy! You’re so beautiful!”
Me: Savannah, where is Caroline’s changing pad?
Savannah: In the freezer.
Me: In the freezer? What is it doing there??
Savannah: It wasn’t cold!
Last week, we did a little craft that involved collecting some rocks from outside. Now, Savannah is fascinated by them. Today she is begging to go outside and “pick rocks”. 🙂
I started this blog so I could write things as they happened, as a way to preserve my memories of the girls at these ages. Unfortunately, I keep forgetting to write them down. I need to do better!

This is Savannah’s current favorite shirt. It has elephants on it, AND it’s green. Bam, bam, win.
Savannah is crying for her paci. 🙁 We took it away almost a year ago (and Caroline never took a paci). I feel bad for her – I know what it’s like to have a high suck need. Wish I could do something to help her.
Caroline had a big beaded necklace on, one of Savannah’s. She looked so cute, but I’m about to put her down for a nap so I took it off. A few minutes later I looked over and she was wearing it again. I thought maybe I hadn’t actually taken it off and only thought I had. I took it off again, and a few minutes later noticed she had it on again. I then watched her walk over to another necklace and put it on as well. I didn’t know she could do that! So cute. My girlie girl. 😉
Savannah: Vacation Bible School has two names! Vacation Bible School and VBS!
Ashley: That’s right!
Savannah: Rose has two names too! Rose and Bad Wolf!
Ashley: That’s my little Whovian.
Then, a few days later, she asked me for an apple. We only had pears, so I explained that to her when I handed her the pear.
Savannah: Apples have two names too. Apples and pears.
Ashley: Ummmm…
It’s official – Caroline likes bacon. I don’t think there’s going to be enough for me!
