Today we hung an ornament of a fish, symbolizing how God caused Jonah to be in a belly of a fish for three days because Jonah disobeyed. Jonah 1-4 “From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the LORD his God. He said: ‘In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me. From the depths of the grave I called for help, and you listened to my cry.’” For more information about the Jesse Tree, see this site.

Today we hung an ornament of the Rose of Sharon, symbolizing the prophets God sent to tell Israel of Jesus. Isaiah 9:1-7 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” For more information about the Jesse Tree, see this site.
